In the week ending Mar. 14, one gas station in Cumberland County sold regular gas at the lowest reported price of $3.09 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Countywide, regular gas averaged $3.21 per gallon.
Of the nine reported gas stations located within Cumberland County, five offered regular gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of regular gas in Virginia was $3.33, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
