Live! Casino Virginia has announced a series of information sessions for those interested in attending the upcoming Richard Bland College (RBC) Dealer Institute. The sessions are designed to provide details about the institute and career opportunities as casino table games dealers.
The information sessions will be held at the Petersburg Public Library, located at 201 W Washington St, Petersburg, VA 23803. Dates for the sessions are August 13, August 20, and August 27, 2025, each running from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
During these sessions, attendees will learn about the Dealer Institute curriculum and hear directly from casino professionals. An on-site math assessment is required for all participants; those who pass will qualify for enrollment in the RBC Dealer Institute. No previous experience is necessary to attend, but an interest in gaming and willingness to learn are recommended.
Classes at the Dealer Institute will be led by experienced and licensed instructors. Graduates of the program can apply for positions at Live! Casino Virginia. However, completion of the course does not guarantee employment.

The temporary gaming facility operated by Live! Casino Virginia is expected to create around 500 permanent jobs for local and regional residents, including more than 100 table games dealer positions. Pending regulatory approval, this facility will offer amenities such as 75,000 square feet of gaming space, approximately 900 slot machines, 33 live action table games, a casino bar with a quick service restaurant, and parking for up to 1,000 vehicles.
