On Friday, May 16, former Mecklenburg County High School standout Tori Powell’s current collegiate team the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets won 4-3 against the Christopher Newport Captains in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.
The game took place at Captains Park at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Christopher Newport Captains in the tournament.
The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Captains Park.
