On Saturday, May 17, former Mecklenburg County High School standout Tori Powell’s current collegiate team the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets won 6-2 against the Christopher Newport Captains in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.
The game took place at Captains Park at 11 a.m. and was the second matchup against the Christopher Newport Captains in the tournament.
The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets’ next game will take place on Friday, May 23 at 1 p.m. at Blue & Grey Softball Field.
