Petersburg City government offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The offices are set to reopen on Monday, July 7, at their regular hours.

Petersburg Area Transit (PAT) will also suspend operations on July 4 and will resume bus services the following day, Saturday, July 5.

The City swimming pool located on Farmer Street will remain operational throughout the holiday on both July 4 and 5.

The Petersburg Circuit Court and the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office will not be open on July 4. Both entities will continue their usual schedules starting Monday, July 7.

Dogwood Trace Golf Course is available for play on Independence Day. Interested individuals can book a tee time by visiting www.dogwoodtracegolf.com.

Meridian Waste Trash collection and CVWMA Recycling collection services will maintain their normal schedule during the week of the Fourth of July. Collections scheduled for Friday will proceed without alteration.

Residents are encouraged to attend the fireworks display at Petersburg Harbor in Old Towne on Thursday, July 3. The event includes music and food trucks beginning at 4:00 pm, with fireworks slated for a start time of 9:15 pm. The location is accessible via River Street and Joseph Jenkins Roberts Parkway.
