All courts and the Sheriff’s Office in Petersburg will be closed on Friday, December 5, according to a city update. However, all City of Petersburg Government offices are scheduled to remain open during their regular hours.
Petersburg Area Transit will begin service two hours later than usual on Friday.

The City of Emporia will hold an online auction from July 1–15 for properties with unpaid real estate taxes. Several parcels are listed for public bidding under specific terms set by city officials.
