Residents of Petersburg East are invited to a ward meeting hosted by Councilman Marlow Jones, where upcoming programs and available resources will be discussed. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Petersburg East Apartments, located at 110 Croatan Drive.
Councilman Jones plans to introduce a new community boxing program with on-site sign-ups for both adults and youth residents. The sessions are set to begin on Saturday mornings. In addition, he will reintroduce a proposed Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification program that allows parents and residents the chance to train and become certified within the local area.
The event will also provide voter registration services, rights restoration assistance, Legal Aid information, and feature representatives from Social Services, Police, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works. Residents can expect guidance on submitting concerns or complaints specific to their neighborhood.
