VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY: Virginia Commits to Reducing Polluted Runoff from State Lands to Advance Chesapeake Bay Restoration

Virginia Department of Environmental Quality issued the following announcement on June 4.

The Governor of Virginia today announced the signing of Executive Directive Seventeen, which aims to reduce pollution from stormwater runoff on lands owned by state organizations within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. DEQ is committed to preserving the Ches Bay and is one of the lead agencies working on the Watershed Implementation Plan, phase III of which was submitted to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2019.
