CHARLOTTE COUNTY: Public Hearing Notice- Section 33.1-70.01 of the Code of Virginia

Charlotte County issued the following announcement on June 12.

Virginia Department of Transportation Secondary Six Year Plan

The Virginia Department of Transportation and the Board of Supervisors of Charlotte County, in accordance with Section 33.1-70.01 of the Code of Virginia, will conduct a joint public hearing on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 6:05 pm or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Charlotte County Administration Office, 250 LeGrande Avenue, Suite A, Charlotte Court House, VA. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary Six-Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2022 through 2027 in Charlotte County and on the Secondary System Construction Budget for Fiscal Year 2022. Additional information may be obtained at the Lynchburg District Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 4219 Campbell Ave., Lynchburg, Va., 24501 or at the Charlotte County Administration Office at the above address or by contacting 434-542-5117.

All projects in the Secondary Six-Year Plan that are eligible for federal funds will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which documents how Virginia will obligate federal transportation funds.

Persons affected may present their views at the hearing or may provide comments in writing. Written comments can be delivered to the Administration Office; mailed to PO Box 608, Charlotte Court House, VA, 23923; or emailed to publiccomments@charlottecountyva.gov and should identify the subject and the commenter’s name & address. The hearing will also be live-streamed. Livestream access information can be obtained from the County Administration Office at the above address or by calling (434) 542-5117.
