County of Prince Edward issued the following announcement on Jan. 15
Prince Edward County and the Town of Farmville strongly urge our citizens to prepare now for tomorrow’s winter storm. Snow, sleet, freezing rain and gusty winds are all part of the forecast. This could result in widespread power outages. Be prepared to shelter in place for at least three days, if necessary.
Following the storm, once it is safe, please help check on older and homebound neighbors, family, and friends. The County and Town will continue to provide storm recovery updates through local news media and the County and Town Facebook pages. Please stay safe.
