County of Prince Edward issued the following announcement on Jan. 21
“The Heartland Innovative Technology (HIT) Park represents a significant investment by the Board of Supervisors and a transformational opportunity for our community. On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, I wish to thank the Governor and the Virginia Business Ready Site Program for the $640,000 grant which will help us with the engineering costs to improve the marketability of the site. I also want to thank our staff including County Administrator Doug Stanley and Economic and Tourism Director Chelsey White for their efforts to secure the funding.
