County of Prince Edward issued the following announcement on Jan. 21
“The Heartland Innovative Technology (HIT) Park represents a significant investment by the Board of Supervisors and a transformational opportunity for our community. On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, I wish to thank the Governor and the Virginia Business Ready Site Program for the $640,000 grant which will help us with the engineering costs to improve the marketability of the site. I also want to thank our staff including County Administrator Doug Stanley and Economic and Tourism Director Chelsey White for their efforts to secure the funding.
Economic Development is one of the critical targets in the County’s adopted Strategic Plan. This grant furthers our implementation of that plan through our focus on expanding our tax base and the creation of jobs.” -Prince Edward County Board of Supervisors' Chair | Dr. Odessa Pride:
