Virginia Community Healthcare Association Welcomes Angela H. Taylor, Ph.D. as Grants & Development Manager

Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) is excited to announce the addition of Angela H. Taylor, Ph.D. as Grants and Development Manager. In her new role, Angela will direct the Association’s efforts in coordinating grant proposals and support requests, including planning, writing, document gathering, internal and external communications and final submissions.

Angela has more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit strategic planning, organizational development, philanthropy and impact measurement. Prior to joining VCHA, she served as Director of Grants Development for St. Joseph’s Villa, a nonprofit organization providing support to children and families in Richmond, VA, where she directed, researched, planned, wrote and submitted grant applications in coordination with St. Joseph’s Villa’s overall development efforts.

In addition, Angela worked for the YMCA of Greater Richmond for over six years in various leadership roles, including Director of Research Evaluation and Grants Management, Association Director of Impact and most recently as Association Director of Procurement, where she developed and managed the process and procedures for purchasing for the organization.

“Angela is a passionate, knowledgeable and committed leader,” says Tracy Douglas-Wheeler, Chief Executive Officer. “Her wide range of expertise, paired with a honed set of data management skills, grant-writing, procurement and her extensive knowledge of the region’s nonprofit sector make her a great fit for our team!”

Angela received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science, her master’s degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, and her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
