Dog License Reminder
In accordance with Charlotte County's Animal Control Ordinance, all dogs four months old and older must be licensed annually. Dog licenses go on sale November 1st and must be purchased no later than January 31st. Failure to comply with this ordinance is subject to enforcement by the Animal Control Officer. In order to obtain a license, a current rabies vaccination certificate must be provided. Dog licenses can be purchased at the Treasurer's Office located at 201 David Bruce Avenue in Charlotte Court House. Orders by mail are encouraged & a printable dog license application is available on-line. For more information contact the Treasurer's Office at (434) 542-5125.
