Prince Edward County has been working to develop an internal access road through the Prince Edward County Business Park off Commerce Road (Route 628). The road is necessary in order to gain access to 100+ acres of land within the Business Park that are currently landlocked. Construction will include 1,500 feet of road built to state standards for acceptance into the VDOT road system, which will also include a water line. The total project cost is estimated at approximately $2,750,000; approximately half of which will be reimbursed by Tobacco Commission and VDOT Access
