There was one American Indian student enrolled in Cumberland County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Cumberland County Public Schools District welcomed 1,233 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the school.

Cumberland County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Cumberland County and has a main office in Cumberland.

Cumberland Middle School was the only school in the district which enrolled American Indian students, welcoming one student in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
