Enrollment Analysis: White students comprised 50.5% of Cumberland County Public Schools District's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were 623 white students enrolled in Cumberland County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 3.6% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Cumberland County Public Schools District welcomed 1,233 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 50.5% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the school.

Cumberland County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Cumberland County and has a main office in Cumberland.

Among the three schools in Cumberland County Public Schools District, Cumberland Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
