How many students were enrolled in 2nd-grade in Brunswick County in 2023-24 school year?

There were 125 2nd-grade students enrolled in Brunswick County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 22.5% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 2nd-grade students in the county was Totaro Elementary School.

Within Brunswick County schools, the largest number of students were found in 2nd-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Brunswick County ranked 109th in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 108th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
