Henry Jordan died on February 21, 1977.

Henry Jordan died of a heart attack after jogging on February 21, 1977, at age 42. He was born in Emporia, Virginia. He played college football at the University of Virginia. He was a defensive tackle in the NFL. He spent two seasons with Cleveland. He played eleven seasons with the Green Bay Packers. He helped win five NFL titles. He started in Super Bowls I and II. He earned four Pro Bowl selections. He received six All-Pro honors. He retired after the 1969 season. He moved to Milwaukee to launch Summerfest. His hometown established a scholarship in his name. The scholarship supports local students. Emporia honors him each year. His name graces a field in Newport News. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995.
