On Tuesday, March 25, former Cumberland High School standout Caroline Lanzi’s current college team, the Caldwell Cougars, won 10-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Felician Golden Falcons.

The game took place at Shannon Dalton Forde Field. This was their second matchup against the Golden Falcons this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at LaMoy Field against Post Eagles.

Virginia issues emergency nutrition assistance during federal shutdown

Virginia will provide emergency nutrition assistance to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients in November, following Governor Glenn Youngkin’s declaration of a state of emergency.
