89 percent of applicants to Longwood University were admitted for fall 2018

At Longwood University, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 68 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Farmville enrolled 4,911 students in fall 2018, including 4,324 in undergraduate and 587 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 4 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 5,162 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 22 percent enrolled.
