Hampden-Sydney B/C Golf Teams Competing In Two Tournaments

Hampden-Sydney College's B and C Golf Teams are competing this week at two different tournaments: the Kinder-Williams Invitational being played at the Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg and the Maryville College Invitational being played at the WindRiver Golf Club in Lenoir City, Tennessee. The Tigers' B Team in Harrisonburg posted a first-round score of 304 on Monday to stand fourth among 15 teams, while the B Team in Tennessee posted a 305 to stand in a tie for second among 14 teams—and the C Team in Tennessee posted 324 to stand eighth among the 14 teams.

Sophomore Brody Smith (Yorktown) is leading the Tigers at the Kinder-Williams with his opening round of one-under par 71 on the par 72, 6,769-yard layout that has him third among 81 collegiate golfers. He is being followed by classmates Rece Lott (Fort Worth, TX) (75, T-10th) and John Hutcheson (Edina, MN) (76, T-17th), senior Ryan Corbett (Richmond) (82, T-50th), along with junior Cole Williams (Kenbridge) (85, T-59th).

Sophomore Knox Sirmans (Rome, GA) is leading the H-SC B Team in Tennessee with his opening round of 75 on the par 72, 7,270-yard layout that has him tied for sixth among 76 golfers. He is being followed by juniors Tommy Bishop (Jacksonville, FL) (76, T-8th) and Reese Meyer (Virginia Beach) (76, T-8th), along with freshmen Ryan Porterfield (Cumming, GA) (78, T-17th) and Jack Hoyle (Midlothian) (91, T-70th).

Freshman Pierce Lambert (Hartfield) is leading the C Team in Tennessee with his round of 78 that is tied for 17th. He is being followed by classmates Cole Wright (Wake Forest, NC) (80, T-28th), Cole Pollard (Manakin Sabot) (81, T-33rd), Jack Davis (Radford) (85, T-51st) and Jack Craig (Raleigh, NC) (87, T-60th).
