Dorian Green Named To D3football.com Team Of The Week
Hampden-Sydney College junior linebacker Dorian Green (Martinsville) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for games played the weekend of October 28-29. Green was selected for his outstanding efforts during a 28-21 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) home win past Guilford (NC) College on Oct. 29 on Fulton Field at Lewis C. Everett Stadium.
Green had a game-high and career-high 14 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss—all via sacks—one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry to lead H-SC defensively during its Homecoming victory. He was especially big in the second half against the Quakers with 10 tackles and three sacks over the final two quarters. Dorian is enjoying a breakout season in his first year as a starter with 54 total tackles in seven games, including seven tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry for the Tigers. He ranks fourth in the ODAC in sacks, tied for fourth in interceptions, fifth in tackles per game (7.7), 10th in total tackles and tied for 10th in tackles for loss.
H-SC will play on the road at ODAC member Shenandoah University on Saturday, November 5, at 1 p.m. in Winchester.
