Greensville County schools welcomed 158 7th-grade students in 2023-24 school year

There were 158 7th-grade students enrolled in Greensville County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 21.5% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Edward W. Wyatt Middle School was the only school that welcomed 7th-grade students in the county.

Within Greensville County schools, the largest number of students were found in 1st-grade, while 9th-grade had the least students.

Statewide, Greensville County ranked 127th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 127th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
