When an incident or emergency occurs, authorized senders will instantly notify you using Southside Alert. Southside Alert is your personal connection to real-time updates, delays, closings, who to contact and other important information.
Southside Alert is a free service offered by Southside Virginia Community College. Your wireless carrier may charge you a fee to receive messages on your wireless device.
If you require an alternate method to texting, such as email or voice notification, please contact support@southside.edu with your name, email address, and phone number and we will ensure you receive the notifications using your preferred method.
