RCC/Northumberland Dual-Enrolled Students Visit General Assembly
Mr. Sterling Harris, Northumberland High School teacher and his dual enrollment United States & Virginia History and American Constitution students travelled to the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond to observe the General Assembly in action. The Northumberland High School/Rappahannock Community College history students had a wonderful learning experience. They were treated to a special tour of the Capitol building and enjoyed a rare, private meet and greet with three local politicians: Delegate Margaret Ransone, Senator Ryan McDougle, and former Delegate Albert Pollard.
Del. Ransone proudly recognized the students in front of the entire session floor. Field trip chaperones included Mr. Harris, Mrs. Karen Baker, a Northumberland High School English teacher and the NHS Beta Society sponsor, and Mrs. Cherie Carl, Rappahannock Community College High School Navigator for Northumberland High School. Many thanks go to Del. Ransone for sponsoring this fantastic visit and giving so much of her valuable time to our students.
