Amelia County Schools: Amelia County Elementary School welcomed most students in 2023-24 school year

Amelia County Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Amelia County schools, welcoming 758 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 55.3% of them were male, and 44.7% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 66.1% of Amelia County Elementary School's total enrollment.

Among the three schools in Amelia County, Amelia County High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 497 students, while Amelia County Middle School welcomed 351 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Amelia County Elementary School is part of Amelia County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Amelia County, with its main office in Amelia Court House.

In the previous school year, Amelia County Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Amelia County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
