In 2023-24 school year, enrollment at Greensville Elementary School in Greensville County increased by 18.6% compared to the previous year

Greensville Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Greensville County schools, welcoming 988 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 50.1% of them were male, and 49.9% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were Black, representing 75.9% of Greensville Elementary School's total enrollment.

Among the two schools in Greensville County, Edward W. Wyatt Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 437 students.

Greensville Elementary School is part of Greensville County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Greensville County, with its main office in Emporia.

In the previous school year, Greensville Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Greensville County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
