Which Lunenburg County school saw the biggest in 2023-24 school year?

Central High School had the highest enrollment among Lunenburg County schools, welcoming 490 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 51.4% of them were male, and 48.6% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 52.9% of Central High School's total enrollment.

Among the four schools in Lunenburg County, Victoria Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 400 students, while Kenbridge Elementary School welcomed 359 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Central High School is part of Lunenburg County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Lunenburg County, with its main office in Victoria.

In the previous school year, Central High School also had the highest number of students among Lunenburg County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
