2023-24 School Year Enrollment: 107 4th-grade students welcomed in Amelia County schools

There were 107 4th-grade students enrolled in Amelia County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 12.6% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Amelia County Elementary School was the only school that welcomed 4th-grade students in the county.

Within Amelia County schools, the largest number of students were found in 10th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Amelia County ranked 103rd in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 104th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
